  • Can the aluminum thresholds be cut to length?

    • Yes. Threshold overlays can be trimmed to the exact length you need using a circular saw, chop saw, or an angle grinder with a cutoff blade. If you prefer, we can cut them to length before shipping for a cutting charge.

  • Can the aluminum overlays be made narrower?

    • Yes. The overlays have a built‑in snap point at 4 1/2", making them compatible with both 4" and 6" thresholds. For thresholds narrower than that, they can be ripped using a carbide blade on a circular saw or table saw.

  • Do the aluminum overlays come finished?

    • They are mill‑finish aluminum. Minor mill marks or light scratches are normal and can be removed easily with a Scotch‑Brite pad during installation.

  • Why is shipping the same for 1 threshold as it is for 6?

    • Thresholds ship in the same size box whether you order 1 or 6, and the weight stays within the same shipping tier. Because of that, the shipping cost doesn’t change until you reach 9 units.

  • What is the ideal quantity for shipping thresholds?

    • The most cost‑efficient quantities are 1–6 per box. At 9 units, shipping increases due to weight. If you order 10 thresholds, they will ship as two packages of 5.

  • How much does each threshold weigh?

    • Each aluminum threshold overlay weighs approximately 6 pounds.

  • Why are vinyl window overlays 12' 6" feet long if most windows are under 36"?

    • The extra length allows you to cut exactly what you need for single windows, twin units, or even sliding glass doors. You get maximum flexibility from one piece.

  • Why are the vinyl overlays shipped coiled ?

    • Vinyl overlays are 12' 6" long, and shipping anything that length is extremely expensive. Coiling them into a 30" × 30" × 2" box keeps shipping costs reasonable.

  • Will vinyl overlays lay flat after being coiled?

    • Yes. Vinyl has a natural memory. Once uncoiled, it will relax and lay flat.

  • Is shipping the same for 1 vinyl overlay as it is for 10?

    • Yes. Because they ship coiled in the same box size, the shipping cost is the same for 1–10 units because the weight stays in the same shipping tier.

  • What is the maximum number of of vinyl overlays in one box?

    • Up to 10 overlays can be coiled and shipped in one box.

  • How do I place an order?
